Privacy policy

This policy explains how Auto Shop Media Inc. ("AutoShop Media", "we", "us") handles the information of people who apply for jobs through us, and of the shop owners we recruit for. It covers our job ads, our website forms, our booking pages, our phone calls and our text messages.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number, email and where you live.
- Your application: the job you applied for, your experience and your answers to the application questions.
- Your resume, if you send one.
- The times you book with us, and notes our recruiters take about your application.
- Our calls and texts with you. Calls may be recorded, and we tell you at the start of the call.
- Whether you agreed to get texts from us, and when and how you agreed.
- If you're a shop owner: your name, your shop, your mobile number and email, and the candidates we send you.
We get this from you, from our website forms, and from the job site where you applied, such as Facebook or Indeed.
How we use it
- To review your application and match you with shops that are hiring.
- To call and text you about your application, your phone call with a recruiter and your shop interviews.
- To text shop owners who agreed to it about candidates and interviews for their shop.
- To set up interviews with shops and follow up afterwards.
- To keep records of our calls and texts, and to train and support our recruiters.
We use software, including AI tools, to help our recruiters read applications and resumes. A person on our team makes the decisions about your application.
Who we share it with
- The shop you applied to, or a shop we're putting you forward for: your name, contact details, application, resume and interview times, so they can interview and hire you.
- Service providers that run our systems for us, such as hosting, phone and text delivery, email and AI tools. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with.
We do not sell your personal information.
Text messages and your phone number
We text you only if you agreed to get texts from us. See our Text messages page and Text message terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The sharing described above does not include your text messaging opt-in data or consent.
When you agree to texts on one of our forms, we record your mobile number, the date and time, the page and the exact wording you agreed to. We use your mobile number only for the texts you agreed to and for calls about your application or your shop.
We send texts through Twilio, our phone and text provider, which handles your number only to deliver our messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to any text to stop getting them, or HELP for help. You can also stop texts by emailing [email protected] or calling (760) 990-1692. Msg & data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you're looking for work through us, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our records or the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] or call (760) 990-1692. To stop texts, reply STOP.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask for a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising based on your activity on other websites. To make a request, email [email protected] or call (760) 990-1692. We'll confirm who you are before we act on it.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, encryption in transit and limited access for our staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
Our jobs are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
